schnauzers, so many sizes, colours and finishing touches

Two totally different schnauzers, both Standards, one black ears cropped, one Pepper & Salt ears natural
Starting with the Pepper & Salt as I did I knew that schnauzers came in MANY different shades of grey, but who would of thought that Black could vary so much?  Trick questions, they are not suppose to, but, believe me they do!

Chipmunk hunting

Hunting IS allowed on these premises.  My current crew appear to be useless at catching and dispatching pests.  Boy, how I wish for my old girl Jewels to be back here to rid us of Chip & Dale and all their relatives.  Last week I caught six and relocated them to pastures hopefully far away.  From the look of the holes along my path and under the porch I need to carry on catching this week.

Winter schnauzer

Delicious

It's true I have a 'thing' for schnauzer noses, I confess, I go weak in the knees, turn to putty when I see a wonderful, rubbery, sublime schnauzer nose. Mersey possesses the most perfect schnauzer nose of all. It's true, I can't say enough, or, get enough of this wonderful black piece of perfection...enough said.

Love'n black & white

I tied Clover out to a picnic table (being a cruel, nasty, mean owner :-) in an attempt to get some photos of more then then just her zooming around the yard. Well....I got one shot (above) and lots of the tortured soul shots (below) In actuality she was yawning to show me just how BORING my photo shoot idea was.

Black & White puppy portrait

Sometimes I forget Clover is only 5 months old, she has really fit into our home, big bonus, all the dogs lover her. She is (usually) an absolute delight. Devilish for sure, but overall a real pleasure. Clover is the first Fiddle pup I have kept for myself, Fiddle was such a bright and busy puppy, her naughty antics seldom failed to make me laugh, Clover is very much her mothers daughter.

Mirror Mirror on the Wall

Whose the fairest of them all?? Hope says she is naturally! Cutter looked so regal this morning reclining on the floor and gazing out the window, I had to pick up my camera and photograph him. Enter Hope...after lapping up a bowl of water, she planted herself in front of me and stared intensely into the lens, beard dripping "Why would you want to be photographing my dumb ass (oops, sorry... Hope's words not mine, schnauzers can be profane at times) brother when I am here in all my glory???" OK Hope you win...what was I thinking?
