Putting Away

Two days ago I was scanning the Internet looking for a way to convert these into something palatable.

Tada!  Combine above ingredients with 4 hours of chopping, heating, stirring and canning and you end up with this.  Spicy Salsa Verde, Tomato Chow-Chow and Pickled Hot Peppers, yum!

Still remaining in the garden are carrots and a second late season planting of beans, swiss chard and lettuce.  Hoping to stretch harvesting those to the end of October then the garden will finally be put to rest until next Spring.  

With canning out of the way and rain falling seems a great day to pop some Schnauzers on the grooming table and tame their wild and wooly coats.  Beamish I'm talking about you......
