Morning smile

Token loves to smile. I have seen other breeds do this, a friend bred Aussies and they did. My Schnauzers don't, but then with those beards one would never know. Makes Token look very zany!

First show done!

Saturday was not nice weather to be outside showing dogs, just ask Token. Mick came along with our new camera and snapped some photos of Token in the ring below. My favorite shot however was a beautiful Scottish Deerhound and it's handler who wore a Kilt for the show ring, love it! In the toy ring the dogs are examined on a table for obvious reasons. Token was great about that. Now moving in wet grass...Token's commentary on the event below. "Grumble, grumble...have I told you how much I hate you at the moment...grrrrrr" "I don't care what you say, I tell you there is a dog pretending to be me behind us" "I am so out of here, and I warn you, it may be days before I like you again!"

Show Day

Yesterday was Token's first dog show experience and my first time in the Toy ring. Lots to learn, but a good experience all around. Token was Reserve which I cannot complain about. It was a gorgeous, breezy, sunny day for showing. We are back at the show today however it has been raining all morning complete with thunder and lightening. Hmmmm.... Token looks pretty comfy this morning, better I not tell her what the plan is for this afternoon, maybe it will blow over by then :-))

Sun spotting

Token is like a sunflower that always seems to point towards the sun. In the morning she starts her vigil to the sun gods waiting patiently for it to make an appearance in the front room.

Don't laugh at me

Token breaks us up, she really does take herself very seriously, no really she does. She is very intense in most of what she does, she is VERY interested in everything that is going on in the house, more so then the schnauzers, which really surprises me. She doesn't like to be laughed at and can throw you looks of disdain if you do so. I also love that she wrinkles her forehead when she is concentrating, like in this photo.

Token's new fav hangout spot

Token has discovered a new hangout spot, on top of the love seat. Here she can watch me on the computer and survey all the schnauzers around her. Also gets her up off the drafty floor. Below in her Chilly Dog sweater looking ever so sporty

Chill in the morning air

I was wondering when Juno left us if Token would find another schnauzer willing to share some body heat. Juno was always happy to let Token cuddle up on cold morning. This morning I caught her snuggling with Daisy in the sunlight. Ten minutes later Mick dropped off this parcel from the post office, it's Token's new Chilly Dog sweaters. What great service ordered it on-line Thursday and it arrived Tuesday morning. Hoping this will cease the shivering the little naked Miss has been doing since Summer left us. I foresee a Great White North outdoor coat and perhaps Ear Muffs making an appearance in Token's Christmas stocking. Love to support our Canadian Companies.

Ever get the feeling someone is watching you? Sending you non-verbal messages.... You are working away on the computer and you start to feel a gaze upon you...burning into your back.... I mean...really REALLY willing you to turn around and look at them!!! Perhaps....I was mistaken??

Token on the internet

Not sure why she looks so guilty, she obviously was surfing an approved website. Perhaps she just realized she isn't a Standard Schnauzer?? Is that shock, not guilt that I see in her eyes? Perhaps relief....
