Morning Watch

Iska is a schnauzer visitor at Dinsdale. Co-owned by myself she resides with owner Brooke in Wisconsin. Iska's pups are 3 weeks old and requiring less time from her which means she can just hang around and do her own thing during the day. She loves to sit out on the porch and watch the chipmunks gathering seed. I have been trying to get a photo of her, but whenever I open the door she wags her tail and comes running in. I shot this through the door and kind of like the soft effect. Oops...I have been spotted.

I took this photo yesterday of my Iska & Ash pups. They are just over 3 weeks of age and honestly, I find photos of pups pretty boring until about their 5th week. They just sit and look at you, little to distinguish one face from the other and no real animation (see black pup in the background for a typical 3 week puppy photo :-)). I was thrilled to have these two boys putting on a hilarious display of yawning and mouth wrestling for the camera and am so pleased I managed this photo of them. It has to be one of my favorite puppy shots to date.
