A Royal Affair

Yes I watched it. The British love their hats, but I have to say...what was she thinking when she plopped this bizarre Bow-hat on her head? I mean truly, could you imagine holding a conversation looking at that on her forehead??? These two are Princesses Beatrice & Eugenie, Fergie & Prince Andrew's daughters...need I say more :-)) More Crazy Hats here

The Boy Blunder

Better known as Beamish. He is one of the most difficult of my dogs to get a 'serious' photo of, the boy has a perpetual smile on his face. Combine that with a coat so wiry that any brows he manages to grow snap off just when I think they are looking good, leaving him with a few long whispy strands and not much else. I only had my phone along for our walk today, quality isn't great, regardless his comical nature still shines through. Can we go for a walk now??? A thoughtful look, haven't a clue how I managed that one. Sniffing the wind This spectacularly bad shot is to prove that Beamish can now ride in a vehicle without up-chucking his lunch, he doesn't even drool anymore. It took some time but finally he is over his motion sickness, hooray, maybe now I can take him to a dog show...well if he ever grows proper eyebrows :-))

Chuck it!

I was shopping a couple weeks ago and noticed a store that had the 'Chuck it!' ball launchers on sale. I picked one up, mostly for Hexe as she is a fantastic off leash dog and an obsessive fetcher. Tried it out today and she had a blast, took me a little while to get the hang of it, but once mastered what a super tool for exercising a dog. They have a cool website, and some neat products, I might have to purchase a couple of the different balls that whistle in the air, or perhaps the oddly shaped ones that hit the ground and bounce in a random pattern. I have used Frisbees for years with my dogs, but they are not terribly durable with Standard Schnauzers. I think as long as you have a good retriever the 'Chuck it' is a great alternative, also love that you don't have to handle the slobbery balls. Hexe and I relaxed on the deck after a busy morning gardening and fun with the 'Chuck It' launcher. Below is a photo of her wearing a 'Chuck it' tongue! Love a tired dog.

Daffs

I read that if Easter arrives late that you will get a long, cool Spring. That has certainly been the case for us here. Finally the Daffodils are putting on a long awaited show.
