Diet time for Fido
Love this cartoon video, on a serious note, one of the leading causes of poor health and early death in our dogs is obesity, keep track of those treats.
The video below may be a cat...but I think schnauzer owners can appreciate this video clip.

Sunbathing beauty
The thermometer may say -15 degrees outside, however, the sunny window sill is heating up enough to have Juno panting while soaking up the rays.
Please excuse the schnauzer nose snot all over the window...I usually clean them when company is coming.

Light snow fall
Honestly that was the forecast this weekend....I would call this a little bit more then light. Somehow in all this winter weather we managed to get Pixie...now Emma safely flown to her new home in Calgary. Talk about a stressful day.
Winter photos taken at Dinsdale this morning 'light' snow is still falling....
Snow scale
This garden table is always a good measure of how much snow has fallen. Looks like a mushroom this morning.

Telepathic Energy
Ever get the feeling someone is watching you? Sending you non-verbal messages....
You are working away on the computer and you start to feel a gaze upon you...burning into your back....
I mean...really REALLY willing you to turn around and look at them!!!
Perhaps....I was mistaken??

What type of snake is that?
I have had a couple of folks ask what type of snake Fiddle caught? Hmmmm.....a really stupid snake! The sad dead snake is a Eastern Milk Snake, they are harmless to humans, though when agitated they quiver their tail like a rattlesnake which seems to be effective in worrying most people. We see more of these then the popular Garter Snakes around our place.
The one above I found in the dog room this summer. Their main diet is small rodents, which is why I hate to see a dead snake. Any creature willing to help us keep mice out of our house is very welcome here.
Unexpected gifts
Beware of schnauzers bearing gifts. Does insanity run in reptiles? What snake in it's right mind can be found in the snow, in Canada, in January? Perhaps this snake went on a suicide mission.
Fiddle proudly tries to strut through the front door with her prize...not gonna happen Fiddle. I waved her back outside and went in search of a pair of work gloves to dispatch the creature.
Fiddle is not amused at my not letting her bring the frozen chew toy inside to enjoy.

What'cha doing?
Schnauzers are incredibly curious, er....nosy really. They need to know everything that is going on in the home. Anything new is spied and investigated immediately.
Mick was working outside yesterday and Cutter was beside himself trying to keep track of him through the windows.
